• 401 - The One With The Jellyfish
  Rachel writes an 18 page letter to Ross about their relationship, which he falls asleep reading, and then has to pretend he knows what it is about when confronted by Rachel. Phoebe gets mad at her mum for abandoning her when she was a child. Chandler is still trying to find out why Monica doesn't think he's boyfriend material.

After a visit from an encyclopedia salesman, Joey becomes strangely knowledgeable about the letter V and all things that start with it.

Phoebe finds one of her clients very attractive, but since they have a rule about messing around with clients, she has to contain herself.

Rachel and Ross both go out on disastrous dates, but both pretend it's going well just to make the other one jealous.

Rachel takes pride in completing a crossword puzzle with no help from the others. Chandler is still in love with Kathy, but his feelings are getting stronger each day.

Chandler kisses Kathy whilst she was waiting for Joey, and feels somguilty that he buys loads of new stuff for their apartment.

  Joey makes Chandler sit in a box to think about what he did for the whole of Thanksgiving. Monica dates Richard's son, even though the rest of the group think it's gross. The gang play 'Secret Santa', but when Ross discovers that Rachel exchanges every gift she receives, it doesn't turn out to be such a happy Thanksgiving.

Rachel is up for a big promotion, but before her boss tells anyone, she is killed in a car crash. Monica is offered the job of head chef, but has to find a way to end the partnership with Phoebe.

Monica is being bullied at work, so Joey offers to get a job there and be fired in front of the others, just to show that she has authoritaahhh!

Phoebe inseminated with the embryoes, but she discovers that Frank and Alice are paying a lot of money for this and that there is a lot of pressure on her and her uterus!

  Rachel finally gets a date with Joshua, but her boss had already asked her to take his niece to the opera. The only person who can go is Ross, who disagrees at first, but ends up in Vermont with her the next morning! Chandler is going through various 'phases' of the breakup with Kathy. Joey goes on a fishing trip with his dad, but he falls asleep before he can shower that night. He then stinks the whole movie set (he has a small role) out, even after running for 10 blocks!

But Janice wants to see him off at the airport, and won't leave until his plane has taken off! Monica discovers a switch in their apartment that apparently does nothing, and she tears the walls down (quite literally) trying to find out!

Phoebe has to choose a name for the third baby, but both Joey and Chandler want her to name the baby after them!

Ross asks Monica to pick up Emily's wedding dress, but when the saleslady asks 'Would you like to try it on, Miss Waltham?', Monica just can't help herself. Rachel hastily proposes to Joshua, but ends up scaring him off.

• 422 - The One With The Worst Best Man Ever
  Ross want his best man to organise his bachelor party, but Joey is hurt when Ross informs him that his best man is Chandler. After an argument Ross picks again, but Joey manages to lose the one thing that the wedding couldn't continue without - the ring. The girls arrange a baby shower for Phoebe, but Phoebe is suffering from terrible mood swings, and shouts at all the guests.

Phoebe tries to get Rachel's mind off Ross, but soon realises that Rachel is still in love with Ross. So Rachel goes to London...

Rachel arrives in London, but can't find it in her heart to spoil the wedding. She may have inadvertantly sparked something off though...
